History

F.V. de Araujo's history begins in 1909 when Mr. Francisco Vieira de Araujo arrives at the city of Iratí in the State of Paraná , operating in the manufacture of kegs for packing mate, flour and jerk beef.

Years later the company starts to operate with sawn Araucaria pine timber, vegetation abounding in the region in those days.

In 1939 Mr. Adhemar Vieira de Araujo, the son of the founder, starts working for the company and is appointed director four years later. At that time, F.V. de Araújo also started producing benefited pine wood.

In the mid 50's the company bettered performance by investing in companies from different fields, such as automotive, financial, transports, marketing of cement and matches, operating in the cities of Irati, Guarapuava, Inacio Martins, Campina do Simão Pitanga, Turvo, Fernandes Pinheiro, Teixeira Soares and Curitiba.

In 1988 the company's headquarters are transferred to Curitiba and starts activities with Pinus elliottis and taeda felled from its own reforestation. Its production, then, is directed to laminated and slated plywood, gross and benefited sawn timber. Besides the domestic market, production is exported to several countries such as the United States of America , Mexico , Italy , United Kingdom , Belgium , South Korea , Turkey and Israel .

Ten years later, F.V. de Araujo starts an improvement expansion plan buying machinery and equipment imported from the United States , Germany and Argentina to manufacture blanks and frames. This plan was intended to expand the operation and meet the needs of foreign markets.

As from 2001 the company then begins investing in reforestation to expand its supply of raw material, modernizing and expanding its manufacturing Units in Curitiba , Irati and Fernandes Pinheiro.
